Animation is a series of similar images captured for any length of time. Although there are other mediums as well, it is the computer-based art that has brought about the revolution of our time. With today's graphics and animation software that let creative minds perform much higher degree of dramatics on screen, one can concentrate more on characterization, story-telling and literally bringing one's imagination to life.

Computers have taken over the repetitive task of tracing common visual details from a given instance of time to another. This allows animators to spend more time creating new compositions and getting the entire flow right. It is this flow in overall experience that guides audience with the story being told and the emotions being portrayed throughout the show seamlessly.

It is a tedious process of creating and manipulating at least a few thousand of pictures (25/29 frames per second) but the resulting visual experience of the audience can be really worthwhile. It relies heavily on technical expertise, creative enterprise and the material content.

Technical aspects of computer graphics are mainly based on mathematical calculations. Fortunately, computer-based creativity is more about sensibly customizing attributes in software tools that help simulating the natural systems of our world. It eventually helps  to create visuals that correspond to universal laws of nature and sometimes beyond that.
