To help rebuild Nepal after the April 2015 earthquake through ideas and innovation, an ideathlon called Hack The Quake was organised as an initiative of Nepal Engineers’ Association BIC, Kathmandu University BIC, Janaki Technologies, Institute of Engineering Alumni, and with the support from yantrakala, DREAMS magazine, Robotics Association of Nepal & Suruwat.
At a grand finale held at the Nepal Engineers’ Association, top 3 winners selected out of 110 ideas received within a month’s online submission. The winners were:
1) Kiran Raj Awasthi, in Health Category
2) Prabin Raj Shakya, in Health Category
3) Garima Karki, in Home Design Category
The program was also observed by His Excellency Assistant general Secretary of The United Nations Mr. Haoling Xu & UN Team as well as Hon. Prof. Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel, Vice chairman of National planning Commission attended as the Chief Guest in the opening Session.
